The World's Fastest Charging Phone - 0 to 100% in Just 10 Minutes!

Realme, a Chinese smartphone company, has released the GT Neo 5, which claims to have the fastest charging capability of any phone. It is advertised to have a 240W fast charging capability, allowing for a 0 to 50% charge in just four minutes and a 0 to 100% charge in less than 10 minutes. However, this fast charging will require a thick USB-C cord and a powerful wall adapter. The phone does not have wireless charging and its battery life with regular use is still untested.

The GT Neo 5 is a middle-range phone, with a 50 megapixel main lens, an 8 megapixel ultrawide, and a 2 megapixel macro lens. It is capable of shooting 4K and 1080p at 30 and 60 FPS, according to the specs on GSMArena, but does not have any night-time capability. The phone is only available in China and costs around $470 for the 240W version and $375 for the 150W version.

Realme is part of the BBK Electronics conglomerate, which includes companies such as Vivo, Oppo, and OnePlus. The recently released OnePlus 11 also advertises fast charging speeds with an 80W adapter, but the more expensive device still takes 30 minutes to go from 0 to 100%. The proprietary cord and adapter required to reach advertised speeds will likely be needed for these Realme phones as well. Overall, the GT Neo 5's fast charging capability is impressive, but its other features are middle-range and time will tell how long its battery life and charging capability will last.
